Stephanie McMillan, the founder of On Deck Equine has been involved with horses since she was four when her mother signed her up for riding lessons at a local stable. The horsey bug hit and has never left.

At the age of 15, she purchased her first hunter and began competing on the ‘A’ circuit. Over the years she has competed in the hunters and the jumpers, currently owning a 3’ Adult hunter.

In 2002, Stephanie graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and that following fall began her studies at Seneca College in Marketing.

In 2004, after graduating with a diploma in Marketing she began her career, where she worked as an account Rep and Office Manager for a small design company in Markham, Ontario. In 2007, she relocated to a large manufacturing company in Durham region where she gained invaluable knowledge of product marketing, graphic design and customer service.

Although her career so far has given her amazing learning experiences, something was lacking. She had always wanted to find a way to combine her love for equestrian sport with what she does for a living. On Deck Equine gives her the opportunity to do just that
